I finally met Aley in person and it was wonderful!
We have been gaia friends for about a year and chat frequently on-line. I drove down to Bellingham from Vancouver and Aley came from Seattle to meet me. We met at the Boundary Bay Brewing Company, which was kind of ironic since neither of us are drinkers.
I was a tad late as the US border guys were being extra thorough.
Meeting in person was like meeting an old friend who I hadn't seen in a long time.
We talked about gaia, our families, our work, ate a wonderful curry and then strolled around Bellingham, popping into vintage consignment stores, cute health food and tea shops and a teen girl type store. We didn't stay in that one for very long!
I am still basking in the glow of a wonderful day and friendship!

Oh you guys look so cute! Mmmm, the curry sounds so wonderful….and I can just picture you guys visiting all those little shops and just connecting and learning more about one another. Like whatyou said about Meeting in person was like meeting an old friend who I hadn't seen in a long time. Isn't it great we're getting to meet up with some of these Gaians in person?
It IS great, and I will jsut have to wait. but will be hoping to make it happen too.
Zoey, you and Aley look like long lost friends or even sisters!
Way to go and to grow,
love,
mary
Oh Zoey, I'm so glad you got a chance to meet! As close as some of us get online here, there's no substitute for seeing a friend's face, basking in the light of their eyes, and hearing their voice. Not to mention the hugs! What a lovely time for both of you.
Maybe someday the whole of our Northwest coastline can gather somewhere. Seattle is only five hours from me!
Centria, yes, the curry was marvy and I am looking forward to talking today! Aley and I do look kind of cute together :)
Mary, I felt like I was re-uniting with my sister!
Kat, I would love to participate in a gaia pacific northwest gathering! I hear there is a group of you getting together in Oregon soon!
Please wait for me until I make it to Vancouver. Just submitted some more documents yesterday. Zoey and Aley, you shine so brightly with your auras and smiles! Must be heavenly to meet in person and bask in one another's effervescence!
So awesome Zoey! Big hug from across the straight.
Hello Zoey and ladies!
What a wonderful day! I did not get back until today, as I stayed in Everett at my nieces house on the way back home, no internet! what a nice blog to come back to here!
Zoey and I really had fun at theat vintage shop talking about our hot pants when we were younger! LOL I had hot pink ones and she had yellow with white boots! The clothing in there was awesome and really lent to some enjoyable laughs!
I hope we will get together again and spend more time as the connection was grand!
Thanks again Zoey for all the love you shared yesterday, and always here on Gaia!
Big hugs!
Aley
Mila, oh this is so very exciting, are you really coming to Vancouver?
Terrill, yes darling, big hugs across the water, you must come next time!
Aley, oh yes, I laughed so much at the vintage store, I loved looking at all the dresses and talking about gogo boots! I am still suring the wave of the big heart love connection!
It is true that the in-person meetings add so much additional depth to our relationships. Aley and I talked about how much connection we do build on-line.
With my two meet ups, Nicole and Aley, it didn't feel like I was meeting some one new, it felt like meeting old friends.
It is all so interesting and wonderful.
Love to you all today!
Bravo & WELL DONE to you both
Michael, thanks for stopping by and when will you be coming out this way :) ?
When I can afford a trip to include a visit to see the Burgess Shale in Banff National Park !
