This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 07, 2008:
With a lot of elastic! No, I am serious, not only as I get older do I need to make sure that I have elastic waisted pants, I also find that as I am elastic and flexible I expand to allow all kinds of new things into my life.

This was perfect! Elastic is good!
Great minds think alike…that is what I said!

One would have thought Sonia would have seen you guys coming.
The ones responding about their waistbands - lol
What a fun answer, Zoey : ) I love metaphors, and those elasticized waists sure strike a chord for me too. It's a playful thought, but it also really works. Thanks!
Very cute!
I appreciate your playful, but serious answer today. :-)

Kat, Aley, Crow, Lisha and Ruth, thank you for dropping by and adding your wonderful thoughts to my blog posting. I agree that Siona may have wished she had phrased the question differently or, perhaps the questions is drawing out all of us from the elder wisdom years! I always say, life is too short to wear tight clothes.
Enjoy the joy today!
hugs,
Zoey
Add tight shoes to that list as well.
:)
Barefoot on the beach…. in a loose sundress and big floppy hat….mmmmm…..
The age of tightness has waned and the new era of dada pants which comfortably could fit a couple of medium-sized sheep within is nigh…elasticated at nipple-height of course.
please to note new handle

Great blog
everyone is just hangin loose here…
no restriction, plenty movement..and room to grow…:)
Zoey, I took some things to our local Salvation Army store today, with my girls. We can never resist rummaging for goodies while we are there, and as I looked for things for me, I could hear you clear as a bell in my head “life is too short to wear tight clothes.” Thank you, sweet lady :)
I came home with two dresses so comfy that I couldn't wear them outside of the house (which is fine because I spend a lot of time here, and the dresses are delicious), and two that will look mighty fine to wear out, and feel eeeeasy on my 40-something body. Gorgeous clothes for a tiny price. Reduce, re-use, recycle, and be comfy.

I am chuckling at the wonderful and very funny comments! Stretch denim is a marvelous “invention”. I just finished packing for a sailing trip and you can bet that all the waists are stretchy and elastic. Jon, love the visual of the dada pants! Did you wear polyester leisure suits over there in the UK in the 1970s? Crow, I love thrift store shopping! Your dresses sound lovely. Ange, yup, hanging loose we are in more ways than one! Ruth, barefoot on the beach, love it!
I am with you all and loose fitting comfy clothing, barefeet and all (I usually skip the hat because they BUG me!). Glad to see your are home and connected again Zoey!
